- Cinco de Mayo Parade & Festival on Cesar Chavez – 10:00 am–6:00 pm
- Car Show on Cesar Chavez Street – 10:00 am–4:00 pm
- Live Music on Cesar Chavez Street – 11:00 am–6:00 pm (Schedule coming soon!)
The 2026 Cinco de Mayo Button Contest!
As always, the community designs the official button, and we are asking you to submit your designs TODAY! It is a great way to get involved, and there is a cash prize for the winning design!
Mexican Independence Day
Sept. 12, 2026 | St. Paul’s Historic West Side
Celebrate Mexican Independence Day in St. Paul! ! The 2026 Mexican Independence Day Celebration honors Mexican heritage and community pride with a day filled with a car show, live music, authentic food, family fun, and cultural entertainment.
Enjoy delicious dishes from local food vendors, shop crafts and handmade goods, and explore the Kid’s Zone filled with games and activities. Don’t miss the community march and all of the community groups bringing color and culture to Cesar Chavez Street.
Join thousands of visitors for this family-friendly festival in St. Paul, celebrating unity, history, and Latino pride on September 12th, 2026!
2026 Grand Marshal Bob Cruz
The 2026 Grand Marshal is Bob Cruz. He is the Executive Director of the West Side Boosters.
Bob was selected not only because of his dedication to the youth of our community, but also because during these times, when many have needed help, Bob stepped up, on his own time and dime, and supported various outreach organizations, businesses, and community members in need.
Whether it has been access to resources, delivering groceries, providing assistance to families in need, or anything else that has been needed, Bob has been there.
