Mexican Independence Day | 12-13 September
Often confused with Cinco de Mayo, Mexican Independence Day, officially called "El DĆa de la Independencia de MĆ©xico," is celebrated on September 16th. It commemorates the day in 1810 when priest Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla delivered his famous speech, "El Grito de Dolores," calling for Mexico to break free from Spanish rule. While the official independence was finalized on August 24, 1821, September 16th marks the start of the Mexican War of Independence.
Join us to celebrate with community in this day to honor our heritage and traditions. We invite you all to enjoy this day with us!
